Several key refinements include the detail redesigning of its one-of-a-kind RENESIS rotary engine for higher precision. The 6-speed activematic transmission is now equipped with direct mode feature, allowing drivers to change gear via paddle shifts on the steering wheel without switching to manual mode.
At the exterior, the RX-8 is reshaped with a larger front central and side air intakes. Its turn indicators featured front fenders has now integrated with the vents, while the side turn lamps are now integrated within the headlamp units to reduce friction by eliminating gaps.
In the interior, the redesigning of its instrument panels with silver inserts to bring about the smooth feelings at high speed. The old fashion dashboard has also turned completely high-tech with additional features and edgy shapes.
Though tagged as refined, Mazda would have to wait for further impact on the car’s sales to prove them right.
