sane reason would be because car sort of packed people into a perfect two rows of seated positions, fitting them into a postcard sized photograph.

envious answer would be because they want to show other people that they have car or rich and not that fat thus fit into a car

In addition, pictures in car doesn't really revealed your otherwise weird stature or mispositioned feet. or probably because they think taking pictures in a car is the second coolest thing after picture with Taj Mahal backdrop
so why do you take pictures in cars?
